July 30, 2018As part of its strategic collaboration with critical sectors of the economy, CET Power has commissioned a 5.48MW Power Plant at LUTH on December 7, 2017.
The Power Plant is located in an upscale Power House (constructed by CET Power) with optimized sound-attenuation as well as advanced Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The Plant primarily fired with gas technology (with diesel redundancy) is also equipped with modern fire-fighting facilities, and is built for seamlessly expand in line with LUTH’s power requirements.
As always, CET Power’s Operation & Maintenance crew are on-site on a round-the-clock basis to conduct routine operations and incident management, with automated check control systems for spares management and maintenance checks.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Chris Bode has lauded the Project as a crucial milestone in overall improvement of healthcare delivery in the institutions as it guarantees 24/7 electricity to all aspects of LUTH’s network, including but not limited to the Admin Buildings, Staff Quarters and Students’ Hostels, Schools of Nursing, Midwifery, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Health Records; the Children Emergency Centre, The Departments of Surgery, Pharmacy, Radio Diagnosis, Community Health as well as Accident and Emergency Centres, Surgery Wards/Theatres and Out-patient facilities.
At the commissioning, LUTH Management and other associated stakeholders agreed that the Project could not have come at a better time, and urged other Health Institutions to adopt the CET Power blueprint in their own sectors.
