Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
August 2, 2018Meet The Team
August 27, 20182 decades of powering critical sectors of the Nigerian economy
Our eventful journey started with the Federal Government’s very first Captive Power Project in 2001. Then operating as Renatech LLC, we partnered with Geometric Power Ltd to provide 22MW additional capacity to supplement the Grid. Upon the project completion, we created the CET Power brand in 2003 with a detailed roadmap on the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry covering a broad range of operations and related services spanning Power Generation and Energy Sales; Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Power Stations/Plants; Operation and Maintenance (O&M), as well as Project Consulting Services. With initial focus on off-grid Captive power, CET Power’s capacity has since grown to integrate capabilities in both the embedded and grid-led generation. The company's inroad in these respects include the Mainland Power Plant which we operate vide an IEDN to serve critical infrastructure of the Lagos State Government; the Eko Disco-led embedded generation initiative wherein we received LOIs for up to 132MW after emerging successful in both the technical and commercial bid processes. Also, we actively played during the 2013 NIPP-assets privatization exercise, wherein we made an aggregated bid for the Gbarain and Omotosho Plants in excess of USD $700m.
On an uninterrupted basis, CETPower has provided world class independent and emergency power services to States and public & private sector organisations such as the Lagos State Government, Dufil Prima Foods Plc., May & Baker Plc, Nigerite Limited, Lafarge WAPCO, Nigerian Bottling Company Plc. (Coca-Cola Hellenic), Crown Flour Mills Ltd, The Tinapa Free Trade Zone, Heineken/Nigerian Breweries Plc., The Nigerian Security Printing and Minting, Transcorp Hilton, BETA Glass, and British American Tobacco Nigeria, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), International Breweries Plc (formerly PABOD Breweries) of the SAB Miller Group, etc. [More details available on our “Projects” section]

With an eye on rapidly achieving our vision of efficiently covering the massive power needs of Africa as a whole, we have also expanded our operations to Sierra Leone, where we currently provide power generation services to Sierra Rutile Ltd, the foremost mining company in the country. We are also at various stages of negotiating further projects in Cameroon, Ghana , Mali and Republic of the Gambia.
Responding to the evolving fuel efficiencies and emerging attention on the Renewable Technologies, we have created a Solar Automation Desk and undergo a succession of trainings and research on the technical, transactional and policy aspects of the subject.
